Magical Yoga, Mindfulness & Trekking Retreat in Nepal – DATES TO BE REVIEWED

September 30 - October 16

17 days of Trekking in Nepal, Tsum Valley, daily yoga, meditation & chanting

and your invitation to get in touch with Nepal – it´s raw nature and the Buddhist sites it has to offer

Due to the worldwide happenings we postponed the trekking retreat to some time later this year. Exact dates to be decided between all participants and retreat leaders. If you´re interested to join, please email info@hannawinkler.com to be informed in time.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

What is key to a happy life?

…maybe more sleep, a healthier diet or more movement? Maybe yes, but what if the answer was less of everything!? Allowing simplicity to lift off the heavy weight of being busy, doing, thinking, speaking too much.

This 17day retreat including 14 days of 4-8 hours Trekking will lead you through the Hidden Valley of Happiness, Tsum Valley, up to an altitude of 4060m. Enjoying the majestic mountain scenery, lush rice field views and the calming environment of the forest, while learning more about its Buddhist history. This place is inviting you to connect with your true source of happiness, which dwells only within.

This trek is suitable also for beginner and people with no trekking experiences, if you make sure to have enough fitness and stamina to walk long hours each day.

We’ll keep it nice and simple during this trek…

Staying in authentic Nepalese Homestays, at monasteries or simple guesthouses. Eating simple foods. Bringing along only the most necessary items. Having plenty of time to reflect, journal and take a break from phones and social media. Immersing ourselves in gentle yoga, meditation, chanting & pranayama practices, adjusted to the outer conditions and the trekking schedule. Thus fostering mindfulness and a deeper connection to self.

Your facilitators

Sahadev Rana Magar (Himalaya Travel Adventure) will be your experienced tour guide, revealing the most beautiful gems of this not so long opened trek. Introducing us to local customs and places off the beaten track. He will show us Tsum Valley from a local perspective. This place was blessed by Padmasambhava, Guru Rinpoche, centuries ago and will invite us all to connect deeply with both nature and culture of Nepal.

Hanna Winkler is leading the daily yoga, meditation & sound sessions during the retreat. Sharing her passion for music and singing on this retreat in the simplest and purest ways of all: Chanting a cappella or with Tibetan bowl accompanied. Hanna was born and raised in Germany and lives since 2017 mostly in Bali, Indonesia. She is leading international retreats that offer unique nature experiences in order to facilitate meaningful and deeply healing moments. Using her background in psychology and the knowledge of several healing modalities such as theta healing, reiki, sound & water therapy to make each retreat a unique experience.

Your yoga classes

The mornings will start with meditation, breathing and at times chanting exercises. Slowly moving into gentle, flowing yoga asana sequences. Hanna is well trained to tailor the practice to any level of physical ability and will always offer different modifications for you to adjust the intensity of your practice. The afternoon classes aim to rejuvenate and rest body& mind after long hours of trekking and exploring nature. Offering some yin yoga practices and guided sound meditations.

Please remember to bring your light yoga mat along the trek, as well as warm yoga clothing to adjust to inside and outside yoga spaces.

Food and accommodation

Will be basic and yet cozy – sleeping the first nights in Kathmandu in a twin shared room with breakfast included and during the trek in simple beds in shared rooms with communal dining space and sometimes hot, other times cold showers. There will be three meals provided during the trek offering traditional Nepalese dishes like dal bhat which is a nourishing lentil & vegetables curry with rice.

In case of allergies and special dietary requirements inform us upon booking.

PRICING is 1799 Euro

for this non-profit retreat, supporting local communities and monasteries!
