Mantra Chanting circle

Mantra, in Sanskrit: मन्त्र, has the meaning of “to control the mind”. Mantras are healing sounds in the form of syllables, words or verses. Those sounds can bring the practitioner into a meditative state.
The awareness rests on correct pronunciation, the sounds and vibrations that are created while reciting or singing the mantra (also called chanting). Also the meaning of the specific mantra is important. If aware of it, qualities of the mantra can be invoked into everyday life.
Mantras work similarly to affirmations, which can anchor themselves into the subconscious mind. In my experience, mantras continue to have effects – at times for a couple of weeks or even months.

You don´t have to be convinced to be a singer, musician or have a nice voice. Your interest for mantras qualifies you, to be part of this mantra circle. Everything else develops step by step. I am happy about every voice that joins in.
